Lockheed Martin Engineering Challenge Winners!

Eight teams of students from schools in the Fairford area teamed up with engineering firms to compete in a unique challenge at the Royal International Air Tattoo on 20 July 2019.

The engineering challenge sponsored by Lockheed Martin asked the engineers of the future to design and build an aerodynamic vehicle that, after travelling along a track would remotely trigger a catapult.

The Marling School winning team of Arthur Richards, Elliott Austin, Otto Nederlof, Ben Ross and Cameron Nickerson managed to fire their projectile over 10m and were each awarded an F35 Lightening II fighter jet model. Well done team!
